Ki Seung Cho was elected President of the Korean Sports Association of Washington State earlier this month by the election commission. He was previously vice president, and he is excited to take on this new responsibility. The president of the Korean Sports Association acts as an ambassador, encouraging unity among all cultures in all sports.
Mr. Cho is looking forward to creating a program to encourage the Korean community, as well as all of Washington state’s communities, to participate in sporting activities with the goal of improving health via vigorous exercise. He will work to create a program that fosters positive interactions, assists in the formation of new friendships, and allows participants to learn about and appreciate the cultures of others.
Mr. Ki Seung Cho has owned and maintained Master Cho’s Taekwondo in Lynnwood, Washington, since 1995, teaching Taekwondo to pupils of all ages. Mr. Ki Seung Cho passed his promotion exam and received the rank of 9th degree black belt from Kukkiwon, the official governing organization of Taekwondo, in December 2021 in Seoul, South Korea.

He is presently the director of Washington State’s Taekwondo Association for the Disabled. Mr. Cho was a long-time member of the American Taekwondo Association, as well as the auditor of the Korean Taekwondo Association in the United States and the President of the Seattle Washington Korean Association. Mr. Cho earned his bachelor’s degree in physical education from Chosun University in South Korea.
Since his arrival in Washington State, he has been incredibly charitable with his time and has given back to the community.
