On October 19, ‘2019 Taekwondo Industry Development Strategy Symposium’ was held at Taekwondowon in Muju. The symposium, which was held on the theme of Taekwondo Industry and its Unlimited Possibilities, gave presentations and discussions on the current status and potential of the Taekwondo goods industry. At the symposium, the presenters suggested the following for the development of Taekwondo.
1. A systematic development strategy of the taekwondo industry is needed.
2. It is urgent to increase the number of adult trainees, not children.
3. In order to increase adult taekwondo practitioners, there should be abundant contents for adults.
4. It is necessary to expand the taekwondo’s margins to increase adult trainees.
The symposium participants agreed that the systematic development of the taekwondo industry requires the cooperation of related organizations and experts and the support of the government.
